KRELL’S MANOMETER

KRELL'S MANOMETER

is a device for measuring gas pressure.

The oldest type is a liquid-column manometer.

A very simple version is a U-tube half-filled with liquid.

The object with the pressure to be measured is connected to one part of the tube, while on

the other end of the tube is a reference pressure (e.g. atmospheric).

The difference in the position of the liquid levels in both arms provides information about the measured pressure.
