ZERO glass waste technology means that all glass waste is 100% reused during production. There are no additional emissions or fumes during glass production, thanks to the use of fully electric melting furnaces.
65% of the raw materials used are sourced from nearby areas - eliminating long transport times. The same applies to spare parts and routine services.
Several heat pumps have been installed to collect and distribute waste heat, helping to reduce natural water/gas consumption permanently. Use of rainwater for cooling in water technology (reduction of potable water consumption).
100% recycled content in packaging material. 55% of the packaging material is produced in-house. The material is recyclable and FSC compliant.
KAVALIERGLASS, a.s. is involved in the EKO-KOM Pooled Filling System.
The photovoltaic power plant is located on the roofs of the production halls in Sázava. Other photovoltaic power plants are located in Kaznějov and Prague-Smíchov. The total capacity of all these plants is 12 MWp and is intended for KAG’s consumption.
This makes us unique in the glass industry and enables us to cover part of our consumption from renewable sources.
KAVALIERGLASS, a.s. is a manufacturer of specified volume measuring instruments – volumetric flasks and butyrometers with validity period of verification without limitation, according to Decree No.345/2002 Coll. These measuring instruments have type approval TCM 131/97-2712 and TCM 131/97-2713.
On the basis of the authorization granted by ÚNMZ by Decision No. 57/2000, KAVALIERGLASS, a.s. is authorized to verify these specified measuring instruments and to mark them with the assigned verification mark K with registration number 9.
The authorized metrological centre KAVALIERGLASS, a.s. holds a certificate of metrological, technical and personnel competence for verification of specified measuring instruments. The management of AMS and the personnel performing the verification hold the relevant certificates of competence.
AMS has issued its Quality Manual, the purpose of which is to establish a system for ensuring the uniformity and accuracy of specified measuring instruments and their verification within the scope of the authorisation document and the conditions of authorisation.

The quality management system is a means of ensuring the conditions for achieving compliance of products with specific customer requirements and relevant legislation at all stages of the product cycle, i.e. from marketing, through development, purchasing, production preparation, production, inspection and packaging, through sales to dispatch and customer feedback, and in all other related activities.

The certification company TÜV NORD Czech, s.r.o. has been carrying out annual audits of the system since 1994 (until 2006 under the name RW TÜV Praha, spol. s r.o.), on the basis of which a certificate is issued in the field of “Design and manufacture of glass products for household, laboratory, technical and pharmaceutical purposes, glass tubes, including the manufacture of metal glass moulds”.

Glass products intended to come into contact with foodstuffs shall comply with the regulations applicable to them.
Testing of the products shall be carried out by:

AEO stands for Authorized Economic Operator, which confirms that KAVALIERGLASS, a.s. is, among other things, reliable, solvent and that it meets certain safety standards and complies with relevant legislation.
