Certificate of Conformity, Conformance or Compliance (CoC)
Is a mandatory document which is necessary for Customs clearance. It is given to exporters or importers to show that the products bought or supplied meet the required standards or specification. The document can be requested by a buyer to ensure the product being manufactured has been tested and passes the set criteria within a specification and meets both technical and safety requirements.
Declaration of Conformity, Conformance or Compliance (DoC)
Is a document, wherein a manufacturer formally declares the compliance of a product with the essential health, safety and environmental requirements of the relevant directives. It is a sign that a product has been designed and constructed for compliance with relevant requirements, and has been through the appropriate conformity assessment processes. A Declaration of Conformity is not a quality certificate, nor a guarantee for safety.
Certificate of Quality (CoQ)
Is a document detailing release criteria and regulary compliance. It is the specification of the actual product being delivered.
Certificate of Analysis (CoA)
Includes specific test conditions, test parameters, test specifications and records the actual physical measurements of each individual accessory or part, that is specific to a batch or serial numbered product. This means that each part is separately measured and recorded by the manufacturer. The COA exceeds the COC in that it is possible to know the exact measurements and therefore record those for individual test positions. Because producing a COA is quite time consuming and involved, it is only on the customers request.
Batch Certificate
Is a document issued by the manufacturer, containing the results of testing showing chemical/ mechanical properties. The document will also list any standards/ classifications that the product conforms to.
Product Data Sheet (PDS) / Technical Data Sheet (TDS)
Summarises the performance and other technical characteristics of each construction product, material or component according to specific regulatory, market or client-specific requirements that have been incorporated in the template’s mechanism.
